Summary  
??WFI preparation system is the key system for GMP. Multi-effect distillation unit is crucial equipment for WFI preparation system. The multi-effect distillation unit produced by Watertown using high temperature and pressure operation , to assure pyrogen-free WFI producing stable . Distilled water produced by Multi-effect distillation unit complys with requirements of U.S. , Europ ,Japan and China pharmacopoeia for WFI . Multi-effect distillation unit is the strongest product of Watertown , our goal is to design and manufacture the best distillation unit in China .

 

Technical characteristic

  • Material : puressure vessel body and pipeline connecting with distilled water , rebirth pure steam are 316L , sealed material is PTFE, other materials including frame are 304 .
  • Three stage separator : feed water in equipment can separate by film evaporation , gravity and special seporator .
  • Electro-polish : to assure WFI quality and increase the life of equipment , stainless steel surface treated by electro-polish .
  • Double tube sheets : The design for external pre-heater ,condenser and I effect evaporator are double tube sheets , comply with requirements of cGMP, can prevent the possibility of low sanitation level media polluting system .
  • Heat-exhange tube using seamless : the intensity and wearing property of seamless tube is better , can keep a good state in the process of machine , welding , expansion joint and contraction , to avoid any plant steam , feed water and cooling water leakage into clean distilled water and rebirth steam .
  • Three dimensional bend : To avoid welding , using stainless steel tube in the pipeline .
  • Automatic welding: To assure welding quality , make use of automatic argon protection orbit welding in the connection of pipeline and parts .
  • Heat insulation : For evaporator and pre-heater , using un-chlorine , un-asbestus mineral heat insulation , external covered by stainless steel .
  • Feed water pre-treatment : No expensive purified water equipment , deionized water or RO water which conductivity are less than 5μS/cm can as feed water .
  • Economic and energy-saving :Rebirth steam in each effect utilizes step by step , so the operating factor of plant steam is very high , has a obvious energy-saving effect . Along with the effects of evaporator increase , the effect are more obvious . At the same time , quantity of cooling water can decrease considerably .
  • Control system : to reach the different customer`s requirements , using PLC control technology . From the determine and distribution of pure steam quality to higher control , such as each media continuous regulation , storage system linkage , classification password control and evaporation quantity etc, we can check carefully .
  • Non-paper recorder : to record the actual producing situation using non-paper recorder.
  • Whole machine performance plant test : in the plant of whole machine test , according to decided procedure , test for the whole machine .

 

Working principle of MS-T series distillation unit

??Working flow chart of MS-T series distillation unit as following : Feed water is heating by plant steam in I effect evaporator , then enter into posterior each effect pre-heater , pre-heated by plant steam ; rebirth steam and distilled water are heating for them in the condensers ;In the top of evaporator , after water separator , enters evaporation tube uniformly distributed , becomes film type stream in the evaporation tube ; Because very thin, so after evaporation , can become rebirth steam very quickly , the feed water which are un-evaporated transport to the next effect , as the feed water , this process repeats on and on until the feed water in last effect are un-evaporated , drain as condensate ; The rebirth steam (evaporated feed water ), ascends in the evaporator spirally , enters pure steam pipeline as next effect pyrogen gets through middle and top special seperator ; In the evaporator , pyrogen of rebirth steam absorbed by feed water condenses distilled water ; the processes for each effect are same , distilled water of each effect and rebirth steam of last effect are collected by condenser , heating change with cooling water and feed water , after cooling , become distilled water ; On-line detection for conductivity , qualified distilled water as WFI output , unqualified drain
??After three times separation , feed water turns into rebirth steam which are clean .The first time evaporation , feed water enters evaporator , then flow , at the same time evaporates ;The evaporated feed water in the lower extreme of evaporator back turns , in the action of gravity , foreign matters separate in the under-part , this is the second separation time ; For the third time , the rebirth steam (evaporated feed water ) ascends in the evaporator spirally , separates in the middle and top special separator . The cooling water only gets through condenser , can drop temperature for distilled water produced by each effect and rebirth steam .Plant steam is heating for feed water in I effect evaporator and pre-heater , becomes condensate after absorbing pyrogen , then drain out of machine . A portion of air in feed water can not condense , called uncondensable air , according to the automatica control degree , they can exhaust by device in the top of evaporator.

Difference between S series and T series

??Seporator mode : seporation mode of S series is very simple , but the mode for T series manufactured by Watertown .

??Pyrogen for pre-heater : the pyrogen for S series is water , but for T type is steam .
